Subscribe for Critiques?

Why do we have to subscribe to get critiques?

I don't see why I should pay to get someone's opinion. I want to get better as an artist of course, but I'm not going to hand over money I really don't have to let people know that I'd like advanced critiques.

If they need more subscribers fine. But making that a subscriber only privilege is really just taking it away from the non subscribers.
